What is The Origin Rewilding Project?

The Origin Rewilding Project is a grassroots organisation dedicated to reconnecting people with nature through meaningful wildlife experiences. We focus on the living world, the tracks, songs, habitats, behaviours, and the quiet moments that reveal our place within the wild.

Through wildlife walks, tracking sessions, species identification, nature journaling, fieldcraft, and photography workshops, we guide people into deeper awareness of the natural world. These experiences are simple, immersive, and grounded in curiosity. It is through these meaningful encounters that people often benefit in far greater ways than they ever expected. As John Muir wrote “in every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.”

We believe in order to protect nature, you first have to care about nature - and to care about it, you have to experience it - really experience it. Origin is your call to the wild: to reconnect with the natural world and in turn reconnect with yourself and others.

Because everyone should have the opportunity to experience wildlife, and reconnect with their wild nature.

The Origin Community Fund

At Origin Rewilding, every experience booked helps open the wild to those who need it most. A percentage of all sales goes directly into our Community Fund, supporting free nature sessions and fully funded camping trips for underprivileged young people. It means that when you choose to explore with us, you’re not only reconnecting with nature yourself — you’re helping others discover it too.

This fund allows us to deliver monthly community events, wildlife workshops, and memorable time outdoors for families and youths who face barriers to accessing nature. Together, we’re creating meaningful wildlife experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong relationship with the natural world. Every adventure you join makes a real difference.
